About This Recipe
These Big Mac Sliders are always a hit whenever I make them. Perfect for game days, parties, tailgating, or even a quick dinner, they're simple and delicious! What makes this recipe so easy is that you make all 12 sliders at once. Just slice the whole pack of buns in half, then add all your toppings and bake. A sprinkling of sesame seeds on top makes them look just like mini Big Macs!
For the best sliders, you want the cheese to be fully melted when you serve them, but you also don't want the buns to get too dry and crispy. My most important tip is to keep your ground beef warm while you assemble the sliders. That way, the cheese starts melting right away before even going in the oven. This makes it so you don't have to bake them as long, and the buns stay nice and soft.
Key Ingredients

Slider buns: You'll need 12 slider buns for this recipe. You can use whatever your favorite kind is (whether that's Hawaiian rolls, dinner rolls, or whatever). I used these brioche slider buns, which I found on sale.
Ground beef: Lean ground beef is ideal for this recipe so that the sliders don't get too greasy, but you can use regular ground beef as well and just drain the fat.
Onion: I prefer my onions cooked, so I cook them along with the ground beef. If you like raw onions, you can add them separately, but you'll want to reduce the amount by half, as they are much more pungent when they're raw.
Salt and pepper: All you need is salt and pepper to season the beef! Most of the flavor is going to come from the Big Mac sauce.
For the Big Mac sauce: You'll need mayonnaise, relish, yellow mustard, white vinegar, paprika, onion powder, and black pepper.
Toppings: Lettuce, pickles, and American cheese.
Butter and sesame seeds: For a classic look, I brush on butter and sprinkle sesame seeds on top. If your slider buns already have sesame seeds, you can skip this.
Instructions

STEP 1: Heat a large skillet over high heat. Add the beef and onions. Cook for 5 minutes until the beef is no longer pink. Season with salt and pepper. Reduce the heat to low and let the beef stay warm while you prep the rest of the sliders.

STEP 2: Place the bottom half of the slider buns on a parchment-lined baking sheet.

STEP 3: In a small bowl, combine all the Big Mac sauce ingredients. Spread on the bottom buns. Add 1 or 2 slices of pickle to each bun.

STEP 4: Spread the cooked beef evenly over the buns.

STEP 5: Lay the American cheese slices on top.

STEP 6: Add lettuce and spread the remaining Big Mac sauce on the top buns. Place the buns on top.

STEP 7: Brush with butter and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

STEP 8: Bake in the oven for 5-8 minutes, or until the cheese is melty.
