Pork Floss Sandwich

Today we will be making one of the best looking sandwiches, aka a Pork Floss Sandwich (pork sung sandwich). If you have never had one, then you are in for a treat. The main ingredient is pork floss which is a kind of dried pork product with the texture of cotton candy. The sandwich can be customized with whatever fillings you want.

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, whisk the egg with one teaspoon of water.
  • Heat one teaspoon of oil in a nonstick pan over medium heat. Add the egg and swirl it around the pan until it is a thin layer. Cook for 30 seconds, then flip and cook the other side for 10 seconds until the egg is just set.
  • Spread a thin layer of mayonnaise onto each slice of bread.
  • Add the cucumber and egg to the first slice, pork floss to the middle slice, and ham to the final slice.
  • Combine the pieces to make the sandwich and cut off the crusts. At this point, you can eat the sandwich or refrigerate it for later. I prefer to eat it cold so I tightly wrap it in plastic wrap and let it sit in the fridge for at least 30 minutes.
