French Toast Sticks

French Toast Sticks make for an easy breakfast that the whole family loves! My wife thinks these taste even better than regular French toast because you get a little bit more of the egg batter in each bite.

Instructions

  • Cut the bread into sticks about 1 inch wide. Feel free to cut off the crusts or leave them on.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon until well combined.
  • In a shallow dish, combine the sugar and the remaining 1 teaspoon of cinnamon.
  • Melt the butter in a nonstick pan over medium heat. Dip each bread stick into the egg mixture, then place in the nonstick pan. Cook each side for 2-3 minutes until golden.
  • Immediately transfer to the cinnamon sugar and roll on all sides.
