    About This Recipe

I've been loving my air fryer lately! I realized it's amazing for preparing vegetable side dishes quickly and easily. All I do is toss the vegetables with some olive oil, salt, and pepper and blast on the highest setting until cooked, which is usually less than 10 minutes.

For this recipe, I added some parmesan cheese and panko breadcrumbs as well. They add great flavor and a bit of crunch. If you like easy recipes, then this recipe should definitely be in your rotation. You can also tweak the recipe to fit your own preferences. For example, if you want something healthier, you can skip the parmesan.

One important thing I've learned about green beans is that they can become overcooked very quickly. I recommend you cook them for about 6-7 minutes, then taste them to see if they're right for you. If you want them softer, then just cook them longer.

    Key Ingredients

    ingredients prepped in bowls.

Green beans: This recipe calls for 1 pound of green beans because that is all you can fit into the air fryer basket before it gets overcrowded.

Olive oil: I used extra virgin olive oil.

Minced garlic: I love the flavor of garlic with green beans.

Parmesan cheese: Today, I used the shelf-stable version of parmesan, but real parmesan is better!

Breadcrumbs: I used panko breadcrumbs, which are a Japanese style of breadcrumbs. They're flakier and crispier than regular breadcrumbs. But feel free to use whatever you have.

Salt & pepper: Just a little bit to taste.
