jam and cheese sandwich on a plate

Jam and Cheese Sandwich

One of my favorite sandwiches is a Jam and Cheese Sandwich. It is very simple to make and all you need is jam, processed cheese, white bread, and some butter. I grew up eating it because my friend always brought it for school lunch. Most people I know are not willing to try it but it is honestly one of the best things ever.

Ingredients

  • 2 slices bread
  • 2 tablespoons jam (raspberry, strawberry, blueberry, etc..)
  • 1 slice cheese (American or cheddar is my favorite)
  • 1 tablespoon butter (or oil)

Instructions

  • Spread jam onto one slice of bread and add a piece of cheese to it.
  • Combine the two pieces of bread and spread butter onto both sides.
  • Heat a nonstick pan over medium heat. Grill for 1-2 minutes on each side until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is warm. I personally do not like the cheese to be fully melted so I do not cook it for too long- just enough to brown the bread and heat up the cheese slightly. Serve immediately!
