    What is Sesame Paste?

Sesame paste, also known as Chinese sesame paste or Japanese sesame paste, is a popular condiment in Asian cuisine. Although they are referred to differently, they are exactly the same.

    Sesame Paste vs. Tahini

Chinese sesame paste is thick and made from toasted white sesame seeds, while Middle Eastern Tahini is smoother and made from raw sesame seeds.

The Chinese version is darker, nuttier, and much more flavorful.

    How to use it?

Chinese cooks use sesame paste in noodle dishes, hot pot dipping sauces, salad dressings, and various meat dishes. It can also be used in baked goods and desserts.
